CA Department of Licensing Services (August 19, 2009) - This revised notice is being posted to clarify that, beginning September 1, 2009, the California Department of Insurance's (CDI) Producer Licensing Bureau (PLB) will only accept address change through the Internet, either through its free online address change service or the National Insurance Producer Registry online address service.  Address change requests consist of changes to mailing address, business address, residence address, e-mail address, residence telephone number and business telephone number.  Please take a moment to review the information.

Changes in Licensing Laws Take Effect on January 1, 2010

AB 800 (Chapter 254, Statutes of 2009) Insurance Omnibus will become effective on January 1, 2010.  This bill made several changes to the California Insurance Code (CIC) for the purpose of encouraging online filings from insurance producres and to bring California closer to uniformity with other states' producer licensing laws.

Please take a moment to review the attached Notice for changes that may have a direct effect on insurance producers and applicants.
