California Fair Claims Settlement Practices

Course Number: 337152 | 1-Hour CE
11 AM to 12 PM

First Reporting of Claims is an important requirement with the Department of Insurance Fair Claims Settlement Regulations.  While much of the regulation is directed to insurers, timeliness of reporting and communications may be broadened to other entities including agents.   To this end, it is encouraged that individuals involved in the communications and handling claims be certified annually.   Failure to consistently comply with the DOI Regulations can result in Financial and Reputational Risks. Consistency in First Reporting of Claims also enhances Best Practice and reduces the potential for Agency Error and Omissions.

California Code of Regulations requires annual training to be completed by September 1st of each year.
