This course is designed to inform the nuts and bolts

insurance professional about the myriad of laws, rules and regulations applicable to cargo loss and damage claims. It will educate the attendees on what laws govern the interstate/intrastate transportation of household goods and other commodities as well as provide them with an overview attendees of warehouse liability issues. Furthermore, it will apprise all in attendance of the key contractual and statutory defenses that exist to cargo claims. We will also address the procedural requirements of, and pitfalls present in, the claims process. We will also address "Hot Topics" and recurrent themes in transportation claims, with an emphasis on frequent mistakes made with respect to subrogation demands.
